Scentsy to open East Coast distribution center at Legacy Park East in Rock Hill, adding hundreds of jobs
Another building at Rock Hill’s Legacy Park East has found a tenant.
Scentsy, a distributor of fragrance products, said Thursday it would occupy a 460,800-square-foot building at the park. In the first year, Scentsy will invest $6 million and create over 200 new jobs at the location in York County. The company expects to begin operations there in the summer and will use the building to expand its distribution capacity. The building is located at 2104 Williams Industrial Blvd.
Scentsy is the company behind Project Blue Grass, a project that had been up for state incentives in recent weeks. According to a South Carolina Department of Commerce letter available in county documents, the project could have greater long-term impacts than what was announced Thursday. The letter says that over five years, Project Blue Grass will create 365 new jobs and include an investment of $8.1 million.
